If your car is caught on a fixed speed camera, mobile speed camera or by a police officer, you will receive a fine and a certain number of demerit points. However, the severity of the fine and demerit points is dependent on several factors.
First, it must be noted that it depends on what type of license you have. If you hold a learner or P1 license, your license will be automatically suspended for 3 months. This is because you have a limited number of demerit points to begin with.
